WOW! What an incredible choir performance at Spring Harvest! Well done to everyone in the scratch choir for your hard work and thank you Lou Fellingham for the opportunity to sing with you. 300 people, from churches all over the U.K. sang in the SingingNation scratch choir. At the start of the week, this group of people had never met, now they are leading thousands of people in worship! Thank you to everyone at Spring Harvest for inviting SingingNation to come and create a choir; it’s been a pleasure.
This week our director Emma Pears is at Spring Harvest in Skegness creating a ‘scratch choir’. We were overwhelmed with people’s enthusiastic response and involvement. Today we had over 300 people come along to be part of the choir! There will be 2 more rehearsals before the choir leads worship alongside Lou Fellingham in the Big Top. What a fantastic night we’ve had at the TN2 Centre tonight! Well done to our amazing choir for your first performance. We had a great audience turnout to celebrate the end of great first term. It’s been such a fun evening- even the audience joined in the singing!

Tonight we launched a 1010 challenge with our SingingNation Sevenoaks choir. This is an exciting opportunity for us to support WeSeeHope, a charity working in Sub-Saharan Africa to provide care and education to those affected by AIDS. We have supported WeSeeHope for many years through our concerts but have never before set ourselves the challenge to take £10 and turn it into £100.
Tonight we gave each choir member £10 and some fundraising tips and ideas. In 10-weeks’ time we’ll collect in all fundraising and gift it to WeSeeHope. Thank you choir for taking up the challenge- we can’t wait to see your creative ideas for turning your £10 into £100!
We are very, very, very excited to be working together with Town and Country Housing and Sherwood Partnership to bring a new community choir to Sherwood. It starts tomorrow! Whoop Whoop!
We have had so much fun during our first week of term. It is great to be back together after the Christmas break.
